Redevelopment of the François Mitterrand mall in Rennes
Redevelopment of the François Mitterrand mall in Rennes
The south-western entrance to the city of Rennes was entirely revamped. At the same time the François Mitterrand mall was redeveloped.
Those who walk or stroll along the banks of the Vilaine now have a new perspective. These renovations create a new architectural and landscape view of their surroundings.
As the city’s new designs are mainly metal, Crézé and his team worked on the redevelopment of the surrounding urban areas. Galvanised steel walkways and stairs were added, as well as Corten railings with stainless steel handrails.
This whole area – designed for solitary wanderers and families alike, who are simply looking to have a relaxing walk – is fitted with benches, decorative structures and games for everyone to enjoy.
